NEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT COMPETITIVE / DUPR SESSIONS AT FAIRVIEW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Pickleball Stirling is delighted to announce that we will be adding another regular Pickleball session at the start of 2025.

Our DUPR-rated sessions have always proved very popular and we recognise that there is a demand to provide more competitive play for the higher-rated players in the club.

To meet this demand, we are adding a dedicated Competive Play and DUPR-rated session every Wednesday evening.

This will be held at the Fairview International School in Bridge of Allan which provides space for 4 courts, giving a capacity of 24 players per session.

The first hour of this new session is a competitive play session and all games will be recorded for DUPR – therefore ALL players must have previously registered on DUPR.com and joined the Pickleball Stirling Club in DUPR.

Players will be allocated to courts in groups of 6 according to their DUPR ratings, so that player ability is matched. e.g Court 1 = top 6 DUPR rating attending, Court 2 = next 6 DUPR etc.

The second hour of the session will be social open play.

Sessions start from Wednesday 8th January 6:30 to 8:30pm and are ticketed at £6 per session to cover venue hire costs and can be booked from today – please remember to RSVP ONLY after purchasing a ticket.

CHANGES TO TUESDAY NIGHT SESSIONS AT STIRLING HIGH

As a result of this addition we will be changing the session at Stirling High School to focus on providing an evening session space specifically for Beginners and Improvers. The “Get Into Pickleball” beginners session is held at the same time as this, so this allows us to provide a “feeder” space for newer members to help progress their skills from Beginner, through to Improver without having to worry about coming up against very strong opponents (aka Bangers LOL).

We hope that members will support these new sessions and look forward to 2025 with the excitement of a new venue, the upcoming Pickleball Scotland Regional Leagues, our internal Box Leagues, and, of course, our very first full Club Competition this coming Saturday (28th December at 11am at the Peak).

There is LOTS happening and LOTS still to come in the development of Pickleball Stirling!
